3D printing sure has taken the world by storm – when it first came out, it was a bit confusing and everyone was wondering what a 3D printer was, and how it was possible. Now that it is available to the general public, more and more people are starting to buy one for their homes – educators are even buying them for their classrooms. Looking on the market, I find many different 3D printers that you can choose from, some of them get really expensive, while others can meet small budgets. If you’re on a mid-range budget and are looking for a good 3D printer, then I would recommend taking a look at the BIBO 3D printer.
About the BIBO 3D Printer
The BIBO printer is one of the best 3D printers on the market. While it’s a 3D printer, it is also a laser engraver, which is why it’s so popular. With the laser engraver, users are able to engrave on wood or even cut cardboard and paper. This printer is special, because not every 3D printer on the market has the laser feature, and those that do have the feature have a tendency to cost way more money than this machine right here.
In the Box
The BIBO 3D printer will come fully assembled and here’s what is included:
- The BIBO 3D printer
- The Wi-Fi module
- The laser engraving module
- One glue stick
- One spool of PLA filament
- An acrylic cover kit
- The removable glass bed
- SD card complete with the assembly instructions, manuals and videos along with the slicing software
- A USB cable
- A set of allen wrenches
Metal Frame Construction
The 3d printer has a nice solid build to it due to the metal frame construction. This means that while you’re printing, the printer will be very stable, which will result in better quality prints.
As an additional bonus, the printer is fully enclosed with an acrylic hood as well as a front door. This way, the temperature control inside the printer will be good, even when you’re using ABS filaments for printing. For those times when you’re using PLA filament for printing, you can remove the acrylic covers, which will give more ventilation for cooling.
Removable Glass Print Bed
The print bed can be removable, which will make it easier for the user to remove the finished prints from the bed. The bed has a maximum build volume of 8.4 inches x 7.3 inches x 6.x inches, which is great.
The heated bed can get up to 100 degrees Celsius, and this means that you can print with a variety of different materials.
This 3D printer has a nice touch screen that is user friendly. Through the touch screen, you can easily control the printer and all of the functions that are available are pretty self-explanatory.
Using your smart phone or PC, you can easily control the BIBO 3D printer – all you have to do is connect it to your home Wi-Fi. When you want to check on the print job when you’re away from the printer, this feature is beneficial. Also, using an USB cable, you can connect the printer to your computer. The BIBO printer also has an SD card slot, so you can print without having to connect the printer to a computer – all you have to do is use the touch screen to load the print file onto the printer.
This printer is compatible with a large array of filaments, which will allow you to create a lot of different types of models and objects. To give you an idea of the filaments, you can use conductive filament, PETG, Nylon, Wood, Flexible filament, ABS, Dissolvable filament, PLA and Carbon fiber filament.
All in all, the BIBO 3d printer is a great printer that I highly recommend. As an additional benefit, it is also a laser engraver, which makes the printer even better. If you’re looking for a good printer, then this one is a suitable option.
